clustered column graph wont let me to have secondary axis with 0 at the start of x axis

    Hi.

I am trying to make a clustered column graph on one axis which is perfect. But then when i try to add a new variable to the secondary axis (so it doesnt effect the axis bounds, the new secondary variable is really effected.

Basically 0 starts in the - position.

I have added a document to show my problems.

    Adam.

If you want the columns to be comparable you simple delete the secondary axis.

Else you can format the secondary axis min/max to align zero with primary axis. But this could distort the perception of that final bar.

    Hi.

I have attached another example just to show you the problem i will face.

Because the primary axis data will have higher data - could be up to 60, the secondary axis will only have a max of 10.

If i delete the secondary axis it uses the primary axis data so will look really low compared to the rest of the data.

Does that make sense? Im not sure how to have it 0-10 on the secondary axis without the data starting in the -part of the axis.

The reason why the other data is - or + is because i am counting the number of negative comments and positive comments for each variable.

You need to balance the primary and secondary axes so that the zero point is aligned.

I have added an extra series to allow for min/max balancing values on the primary axis. This also serves as a natural break in the columns so the read in not mislead by the 2 different scalings.
The Ratings series also includes an additional value which balances the secondary axis. You will need to select the individual point and remove fill to complete the formatting of the chart.
