Help to create a dynamic 9 box that populates with names

Hi there,

This is my first time posting a question - I hope I'm doing this right. I'd like to create a 9 box ('9 box' tab on the excel sheet) that autopopulates with the initials (column C, 'Data' tab) based on the 9-box position (column P, Data tab). The data tab will be used for different sized teams so the 9 box needs to be able to accommodate up to 40 people in each 9-box position. I've tried for about a day and I couldn't figure it out!

Change reference cell '9 box'!$C$2 accordingly for the other boxes.
