Automatic chart colouring and style for each data series

Hi everyone,

I want to automate more of my time consuming tasks in excel. I can't seem to find a answer for my problem. I have a table with a price index for several groups of houses for a range of years, and for each house group there is also a high and low confidence interval. I would like to format a line figure with a different colour for each house group, wherein the confidence intervals are dotted and the index is a normal line.

So, the series name is something like: Index North, CI_low North, CI_high North, Index South. And I want the figure colouring and style dependent on the series name or something.

Is this possible?

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
