Blank Legend Entries in Treemap Chart

    Hello everyone,

I currently have this Treemap chart that works wonderfully except for one area. When I refresh my data and then sort it by my desired category, I'll get anywhere between 2-4 blank legends that pop up under the rest of my actual legends. These legends have no text describing them and I can't select them individually to delete. Whenever this happens, I either rebuild my Treemap chart from scratch, or I go back and forth sorting my data between my desired category and a different category. When I go back and forth sorting my data, the blank legends will randomly increase and decrease before they eventually go away.

I'm hoping someone can help me figure out a solution so that I can either prevent this from happening or fix it on the first try?

    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

I can't seem to replicate the problem in a new workbook, however I think I might have stumbled on a solution?
If I selected the chart and removed the entire legend or just moved its location, it seemed to eliminate the blank entries.

I'm hoping this continues to work as a quick fix. If the problem persists I'll revisit the forum and see if I can provide an example.

Well, turns out my fix doesn't really work.

Anyone have ideas? I know its hard when I don't have an example, but my example workbook was not recreating the problem :/
