    Pivot table data source

    Hello Everyone,

    I need to find the data source of pivot tables

    i know i can find it from pivot table then analyze then change data source
    but the location isn't on my PC, so i wonder if the data source isnt on my PC how the pivot tables still dynamic, and when i double click any cell on the pivot table it creates sheets from the data source
    or the data source is on somewhere on the sheet but hidden ?

    View the pivot table options, and select the Data tab. You'll see the option "Save source data with file" is selected.

    This means that a cache of the data is saved within the workbook.

    If you untick this box, the pivotcache will be removed, and you'll need access to the source data, to analyse in the pivot table.
