Pivot Table Not Sorting Correctly

Good morning all!

I have tried everything, but cannot figure out why my pivot table does not see Alabama as the first entry. It puts it at the end of the table (even if I try to sort the pivot table by State). (District of Columbia is also in the wrong place.)

Please let me know what I am doing incorrectly. Please help!!!

I just removed the countries and companies from Row Label and put it back to the row label, now it showing in the order.

Hi, thanks so much for your time.
However, I'm not sure I understand. Even if I move the State field from ROWS to FILTER, Alabama still does not show up as the first entry (when I filter for States).

Please let me know what I am doing incorrectly.

Thanks everyone, my IT department has figured out that it is my Excel that is acting up. Problem solved. I appreciate the help!
