Excel Line chart pulling in deleted dates from prior year

New member here (Hi!)

I have a very simple excel line chart (dates and data points only) that is pulling in dates from the prior fiscal year that were deleted for the new fiscal year. Now I have both fiscal years in the chart, 2020 with data and 2019 that is blank. I have attempted to update data, changed formatting, deleted and re-added the x and y axis but the dates reappear. I would appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Other than suggesting that you check the range(s) being used in each series to ensure they do not include old data
or checking the scale is not setup such that it would include earlier dates you need to post example workbook so we can see the problem

Hi Andy,

It will not be necessary to upload a file. You mentioned scale and that was the problem (I really didn't think it would be in the formatting). The owner of this file had deleted the X axis label and I had to reinstate it to change the boundry.
