Re: Confidence intervals in scatter plots

It is difficult to be specific, but I would expect a 2 part process:
part 1 -- compute the confidence intervals in the spreadsheet.
part 2 -- add that information to the chart (usually as either an additional data series or as error bars on an existing data series).

Which part are you uncertain about?

Thank you for your fast reply. I have already computed the 95 CIs. Actually I guess that I need to add a line below and a line up the linear trend. I was wondering how to proceed.

If you are unfamiliar with the procedure, see this helpfile https://support.office.com/en-US/Art...f-79983125df12

The first procedure (drag sizing handles) assumes that your confidence intervals are in columns/rows immediately adjacent to the current source data for the chart. The second procedure (using the Select Data dialog) can be used to add data series (via the add legend series button) when the new data is not immediately adjacent to the data currently displayed in the chart. You can also select the new data -> copy to clipboard -> select chart -> paste or paste special.

One of those procedures should allow you to add lines for your confidence intervals to the chart.
