Adding a flag to a Gantt chat

I currently have a Gantt chart set up as a timeline in Excel. My start and end dates are displayed as bar graphs with a description at the edge of the graph. I would like to add another column to my data area to enter the actual completion date of a task. Is it possible to take this date data and add a flag inside the Gantt chart to show when the task was actually completed? This would be helpful as it would display if a task was completed early, late, or on time.

Hard to tell without seeing an example but could you add another series and plot it as a line series. Format the series to be marker only and then maybe use the points data label

I can't see clearly from the picture what you want.

As I said add another series to the chart, probably best to use a xy-scatter. You can then use the data marker to display your 'flag'
