How to create multiple charts with the same starting point on the x-axis?

    Hi,

I am trying to create charts that plots 24h divided into 15 minutes intervals.

I want my graphs to start at the same 15 min interval, ex. 06:30.

As of now, I guess, that the x-axis starts with the time interval that there is a value for.

1.) How can I plot multiple line charts that all start at 06:00?

2.) Is there a way to force excel to show all 15 min intervals?

It is difficult to say for sure without seeing what you have and understanding exactly what you are trying to do. My first guess is that maybe you want an XY scatter chart rather than a line chart.

    Hi MrShorty,

thank you for your reply. I am using PivotTables so using scattersharts is not an option.

Is there any workarounds for this?

I found that I can create scatter sharts by copying and pasting the values from the PivotTable.

How can I get the same axis for my charts? So that the scatterchart always shows 06:00 as the starting point?

Another approach to creating scatter charts from pivot table data: https://peltiertech.com/regular-char...-pivot-tables/

Getting your axis to start at 06:00 (0.25) should be as simple as formatting the axis and entering that value into the axis minimum value field. You'll probably need to remind yourself how Excel works with time (and date) serial numbers (dates are stored as number of days since jan 0 1900 and times are stored as fractions of a day).

    Hi MrShorty,

thank you for your reply. I will take a look at your link, seems like a better approach.

I think I can get the chart I want now!
