Pivot table Styles - modifying 'Blank Rows'

Hi all, this is an issue with pivot table Styles - modifying 'Blank Rows', i hope that you can help.

I looked on here but could not see any references to the same issues.

Basically, I created a custom pivot table style by modifying an existing option, (Medium R1C6) from the pivot table styles drop down box.
My pivot table has blank rows inserted (using the field settings option) and so I want to visually mark them by adding a shade or outline (border) to these blank rows to show a strong separation / sectioning of the data.
In my modified style I added fill to each Blank Rows options. The fill formatting is applied to the first blank row and unfortunately also cascades down after the first instance of a blank row through every following row of the pivot table.
If trying to just add an outline 'border' around each blank row excel places an outline starting at the top of the first blank row and ending at the bottom of the last row of the pivot table.
Excel fails to just modify the blank rows and seems to think that all rows including and following the first blank row is the one and only blank row in the pivot table.
    So,
    1. Does the Blank Row formatting in Pivot table Styles have a glitch and if so
    2. Is there a way around it
    3. Or is it simply lack of understanding on the users part? If so please educate

Thanks in advance for any help.
    Gary

I observed the similar issue when compact and tabular forms are combined in a pivot table. Row Subheading 3 appears formatted as Row Subheading 1 except the last row. To demonstrate it, create a pivot table with four fields in rows, then select the third field and set 'Show item labels in tabular form' in 'Layout & Print' tab of the field settings.Attachment 725003

Moreover column styles are not applied in tables (not pivot) too.
