Question How to create chart for an action (time specific) along the month

i work for a pharmaceutical company. Please help me draw a graph.

For a given reactor, if batch reaction time is "x hrs" and it will keep continuing all along the days may be for "y hrs" also.

Plot a graph with "date" on X-Axis and batch reaction time ( x hrs or y hrs) along the length of X-Axis

Attached is how i want a graph drawn manually.graph.jpg

    TIA

Hello kvmadiri and Welcome to Excel Forum.
Attached is a data arrangement and Gantt char that may help get the ball rolling.

What is it about JeteMc's example that is unsuitable? Can you not use the "in cell charting" conditional formatting technique that he used -- or is there something else about his example that you don't like?

If it is the in cell charting technique that you don't like, and you would prefer a "real" chart. As JeteMc notes, your picture looks like a Gantt chart. When we don't use in cell charting/conditional formatting to do Gantt charts, they are created as stacked bar charts. Basically, you will need to enter/compute your start date/time and the duration for each "stack" of the stacked bar, then arrange that data in a way that will be easy to work with, then create and format a stacked bar chart from the duration data. This discussion has an example: https://www.excelforum.com/excel-cha...cel-chart.html
