Excel for Mac Pivot Table grouping

I have Excel for Mac 16.16.17. I am trying to create a pivot table from a data group that has customer age, item bought, price & date. I can get the table to give me a count of items bought by age of customer (i.e 21,22,23,24 etc) but I want to create groups of ages - not just individual age (i.e. 20-25, 26 -30, etc.). The PivotTableAnalyze -> Group Selection returns an Alert, cannot group that selection. Ideas?

I figured it out. Some of the age figures had a + after the number. Got rid of those and it works fine. Thx.
