Form control slider to adjust chart series crashes Excel 365

    Hi All,

I have a scrollable chart which works well in earlier version of Excel but causes Excel 365 to crash.

The file is a normal xlsx workbook with two worksheets.
The first worksheet called "data" contains columns for a date and the number of vegetables used.
These columns are used to create series in the chart worksheet.

In the Name Manager, I have named ranges for each of these series which refers to an offset from B4. B4 is linked to a form control slider on the chart. The effect of this is that, using the slider, you can scroll the chart back and forth.
There is also another slider which determines the pitch of the chart - how much data is displayed in one go.

As mentioned, this works in earlier versions of Excel but moving either slider in 365 causes it to terminate itself without any error or warning.
There is an application error entry in Event Viewer with:
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x003c4396

I've attached a copy of the file and would appreciate any help.

It only seems to happen when the chart is on its own sheet with the scrollbar on it referring the cell on another sheet. Still, it does appear to be a bug.

It works in 365 64bit. There seems to be a macro assigned to the left hand scrollbar though?

    Hi,
No, there's no macro (xlsx file). The scroll bar is linked to a cell on the first sheet.

I know that there isn't a macro present, but there was one assigned to the left hand scrollbar in your sample. I get a 'couldn't run macro' error as soon as I click it.
