    Align primary and secondary x-axis in combination plot

    Hello, in the excel sheet attached, I would like to line up both the secondary and primary x-axis plot in the combination plot. Currently, this is what I have:

    I would like the area plots to line up with the scatter plot. As shown above, the line plots are offset from the area plots. I want the lower x-axis to be the main axis that determines the min and max x-axis value.

    How to align the area plots to match up with the scatter plots? Thanks!

    Any reason why you don't draw those columns with another xy-scatter series on the same axis.
    That way you can get variable widths.

    Thanks for your response. I did not think of adding another xy-scatter series on the same axis. I sincerely appreciate your time and help.

    I wanted to show an area fill so that no data should appear in the "shaded region". I like your idea but wanted to get a shaded region for the limits. Thanks!

    I did not get the need for filled areas as your orignal file did not have a filled area chart.

    Change the Limit series to Area.
    Format the horizontal axis to be Date.
    Format fill colour
