Candlestick Chart Y Axis Settings Making Graph Look Small

    Hi all,
I am facing a rather strange issue while plotting candlestick graph in excel.
Can somebody please help address this issue.

Attached file has data with values from 17000 to 21000. ONE cell seemingly has issue with its value due to which Y axis scale starts with 0, making main graph look small.
Please find attached excel file, wherein I have highlighted the issue.

    Thanks

    Re: EXCEL Graph issue

The issue is with the internal algorithm used to determine scale limits.
When the value is increased the span in small enough for it to determine zero is not the best Minimum value.

Only way it this is to fix the scale limits

    Re: EXCEL Graph issue

    Andy,
    Oh ok. Thanks for reply.

I want to avoid setting Scale limits manually, because I shall use same graph to display different data (ranging from 100s to 30000s), at different times. Hence I don't want to change Scale each time, data is changed.

If you don't like Excel's built in algorithm for choosing axis scale limits, and you don't like changing the axis limits yourself, then you are left with the choice to create your own "auto" axis scaling algorithm and apply that to the chart with a macro. If you are unfamiliar with this kind of programming, maybe start here and see how far you get: https://peltiertech.com/chart-udf-control-axis-scale/
