Power pivot slicer with "all except" logic

    Hi all

    Excel 2016.
I have an external data source in a data model, a power pivot table and a slicer on a sheet. I can achive "all except" logic for the slicer by selecting all the items and deselecting one of them. But when external data changes and I refresh the workbook, then new items (can) appear in the slicer - and they all are unselected. Thus the "all except" logic becomes broken. I want the newly come items to become selected by default.
    Is this possible without VBA?

Hi Taurus and welcome to the forum,

My best guess is, you will need VBA to do what you wish. I expect you will need to .ClearAllFilters in your pivot items to include new rows and then unselect the .PivotFields you want to exclude.

    Hope this helps.
