I have a table of list of invoices and I want to pivot it where I get the summary of count and sum of invoices. However, I would like to get the grand total amount to be the monthly average of the office instead of grand total sum and count. It it possible? Please see attached sample data. thanks
You could use power pivot to produce a explicit measure, as in Average by Month:=SUM([Invoice Amount])/COUNTA([month])
You could then use the Average by Month in the Values area of the pivot table as modeled on Sheet3.
