Tornado chart (2-sided chart for 2x2 grouping)

    Hi everyone,
I have little experience with charts in Excel and I'm struggling to create a two-sided chart as this:
    Screenshot 2020-07-08 at 20.41.44.png
    CHARACTERISTIC IMPORTANCE ASSOCIATION IMPORTANCE ASSOCIATION
    MALE MALE FEMALE FEMALE
    C1 80.00 61 88.00 50
    C2 80.00 67 70.00 41
    C3 60.00 60 70.00 50
    C4 56.00 45 65.00 21
    C5 71.00 75 60.00 73
    C6 50.00 33 66.00 19
    C7 71.00 80 56.00 80
    C8 44.00 51 53.00 45
    C9 66 . 50 .

Any help please would be much appreciated.

Some simple steps to do a similar graph:
create bar chart from all data
click on one of male series
format to be displayed on secondary axis
the same with second male series
format both horizontal axes to be from -100 to 100
format secondary axis in reversed order (this will move male bars to left side of graph)
    secondary horizontal axis:
click on it to select. Press Del
    vertical axis:
    axis labels fill white
axis labels distance from axis = 0
number format for horizontal axis custom: #,#,0
Of course you can do further formatting (like decreasing distance between bars to get rid of vertical gaps, etc.)

The main disadvantage is that 0 for male touches 0 for female (no gap)

In the file simple (a bit dirty) trick to be done at the last stage of preparartion is also shown to obtain this gap

    Dear Kaper,

Thank you so much for the prompt response. The key point for me was to set male series on the secondary axis. That solved everything. Thank you very much! Much appreciated!

    Best wishes,
    Lina

Done! Apologies for not doing it earlier but I'm new in this forum and I didn't know it.
