Hi sasb and welcome to the forum,
It looks like you have selected the wrong range for Error Bars. See if the attached makes sense.
Select Variance Range.xlsx

Hi MarvinP
Thank you for helping. The labels now work (which is great) but the error bars aren't relating to the differences between the 2 bars.
Is there a way of keeping this but amending the error bar range?
Thanks
I just adjusted the range used for data labels. Value appears to match error bar now
Thank you, Andy Pope!! This is perfect.
May I ask have you adjusted the range? I know I am going to have the same issue next month you see
Yes.
Select the data labels, then on the format page chose Values from Cells, select the appropriate range
Sorry to jump on this thread, but how does one even add data labels to error bars? I've been trying for the past 3 hours and can't seem to figure it out. When I right click on the error bars, I don't have an option to add data labels.
Labels are added to columns (series "Invisible Bar") not to error bars themselves.
Best Regards,
Kaper
