Hi All,
First post, thanks for letting me join.
I have a peculiar issue that's more annoying than anything. When I start up a new workbook and create a pivot table, there is no problem. I have a shortcut in my quick access toolbar, I select pivot table and from there I select the data, job done. The create pivot table pop out looks like this:

However, around 50% of the time during use and working in the workbook, when creating a new pivot table the 'Select a table or range' is no longer the 'default' option and it has changed to 'Use this workbook's data model' As per the image below -

I assume I must be toggling something, somehow, as it doesn't always happen. I sometimes work quite quickly, using my keyboard only to select data and create the pivot, however when this is 'toggled' I then have to select the 'Select a table or range' to select data and also the 'up' arrow if the data is on a separate tab, so it just makes the data selection more long winded. So as I said, more annoying than anything, but would love to know what I am doing to make the 'default' option change during use and more importantly I would love to know how to fix it and toggle it back to normal.
Thanks in advance.
Simon
