Filter based on whether identical 2 different fields

    Hi, everyone,

I would like to ask for you help with an issue I had.

I have a dataset with two different fields that contain city names, one for departure of transport, other for reporting branch.

I would like to filter the pivot table based on whether the two fields coincide.

I have tried to do that with calculated fileds, however it does not do what I intended. I need the pivot to be filtered in that manner in order to study the data in different configurations.

I apologise if the issue has been previously discussed already, I have serached the forum, but maybe not with the appropriate terms.

    Thank you!

    Hello
Follow the regulations => attach a file with a data sample and show the goal you want to achieve.

    Thank you for the tip.

The idea is to be able to filter in the pivot only for the records in which ReportingCountry = DepartureCountry and for the other way around for which ReportingCountry <> DepartureCountry.

In my opinion, the easiest way is to add a secondary column to the data source.

Thanks, that is the way I am doing it now.
However, it is a large dataset and I have various automation on the pivot so it si rather difficult.

I am looking for a way to do that inside the pivot if possible.

In a regular PivotTable, you won't.
One way is to add a table to your data model and apply measures.
Another way is to turn the table into Power Query and return the transformed data to a regular PivotTable.
