Line graph results unexpected when using lots of x axis values

    Hi Team,

I'm doing something silly here. I have a report (sample attached) which gives me memory over time (logged at 1 hour intervals). I want to chart that with x values only containing days (obviously having each hourly increment in the x axis would look terrible). The problem i'm having is the line graph doesnt make sense (not sure why there's steps when it should be at an angle.

I basically want the graph to consider all values but only show x axis labels in day increments.

    thanks
    Gary

Date axes do not go down to the level of time.

Set axis to Text to get a line.

Or better yet change the chart type to XY-Scatter
    Cheers

Andy sorry one last question, if i wanted to have an x value which is 1 each day (instead of per hour) whilst still considering all hours memory values - is that possible?

The chart will not aggregate the data, you need to do that with formula or pivot chart.

If you use pivot chart the chart type will have to be a Line
