Single column stacked chart

Hi everyone, have a seemingly simple task that is overwhelming my Excel capabilities ...

Say we three categories with the respective weights in parentheses: apples (40%), oranges (20%) and bananas (40%).

Any way to generate a chart with a single column with the three fruit sections and their respective proportions?

The end result is a tall rectangle with three sections.

You have not explained what exactly you have and what you have tried to do, so it is difficult to know how best to help. Assuming you have a table like:

I would:

1) Select the table.
2) Insert -> chart -> stacked column chart. Excel will assume that I meant "data series in columns" and give me a stacked column chart with 3 columns over 3 separate categories.
3) Since I intended to have "data in rows", I find the "switch rows/columns" button (in 2007, it is on the Chart Option ribbon) and execute. I end up with a single stacked column with 3 sections.

I made a lot of assumptions there, but that's what I would expect to do.
