(Sub)Total for Columns in Pivot Table

    Hi there,

I am guessing I know the answer to this question ("No"), but I thought I would put it out there as a last resort.

I am using Excel 2016 and I have a Pivot Table that calculates the number of participants, by gender, per month that each Community reached. Each Community has its own assigned Manager and Coach. I would like to keep my table set up how it is (see attached example), but I am looking for a way to total the number of participants of each gender reached for each month (among ALL Communities) somewhere within my Pivot Table. Ideally, this would be at the bottom of the table, perhaps as a list of the months and the totals for each column.

Essentially, I want my Pivot Table to be able to answer the following question for each gender: How many girls were reached in September across all Communities?

Is there a way to do something like this?

    Thank you in advance!

Hello MandEQueen and Welcome to Excel Forum.
Unfortunately I do not believe that a pivot table will display in the manner you are describing.
It is probably trivial to say that you could produce another pivot table that would show totals by gender per month by:
Placing Months in the Rows area
Placing Sum of Number of girl participants, Sum of Number of boy participants and Sum of Number of gender non-binary participants in the Values area.
Sorry not to be of more help.
