Need to add 2nd series or 2nd y-axis to stacked bar chart...

    Experts:

I need some assistance with modifying/tweaking a stacked bar chart by adding, e.g., another data series or a 2nd y-axis to the chart.

Please see attached XLS for details... below summarizes the information.

I'd appreciate any help w/ updating the stacked bar chart.

    Thank you,
    EEH

    *******Additional information **************

    Tab "Version 1":

I need some assistance with modifying the stacked bar chart. Here's what I currently have in "Version 1".

    - I have 8 "State" values (CA, DE, FL, ..., ..., TX)... see row #1.
    - Each state value has data for both "6-years" and "1-year"... see row #2.
    - Finally, I then have percentage values for both "No" and "Yes"

Here's what I need to achieve:
    - I want to apply the blue/orange color coding across the stacked bars
    - That is for the 6-Year values, I'd like to apply a light blue for 'yes' values AND dark blue for 'no' values.
    - Similarly, for the 1-Year values, I'd like to apply a light orange for 'yes' values AND dark orange for 'no' values.

    Here's the problem:
    - At this time, I can only chose 2 colors (for yes/no) but I cannot distinguish between the 6-year and 1-year values (via color-coding).

    Next steps:
    - I copied tab "Version 1" and created a 2nd tab "Version 2".
    - Please switch to tab "Version 2" to continue...

    Tab "Version 2":

    - Based on the information listed on tab "Version 1", I now have split up the two data ranges.
    - My thought was that I merely add additional "Data Series" to the chart.

Here's the problem though... adding the following data series only creates a 3rd and 4th stack on the existing bars.

My question: How can I combine all of the data in A3:I5 AND K3:S3 into one and the same stacked bar chart while allowing me to use different colors (2 blue shades tones and 2 orange shaded tones) for the 6-year and 1-year range?

It looks to me like you want a "clustered and stacked" column chart (see full tutorial here: https://peltiertech.com/clustered-st...mn-bar-charts/ ). In Version 1, I:

    1) Select C3:C4 -> Cut -> select C6 -> paste. Repeat for each 1 yr set.
    2) Select the chart -> bring up the Select Data dialog -> Add two new series and have them use row 6 and row 7 for values.
    3) Format the 4 data series as desired.

    Will that work for you?

    Mr. Shorty:

Yes, I think the presented charts on that URL will work for me...

I couldn't seem to follow the direction provided in your steps 1:3.

Appreciate any assistance w/ tweaking the chart to mimic what's presented in the "Clustered and Stacked" charts.

    Thank you in advance!

Re: Need to add 2nd series or 2nd y-axis to stacked bar chart...

Step 1 is just cut/paste/move step where I moved the 1 year data down 3 rows. Step 2 is adding two new data series to the chart (from your OP it seemed you were already familiar with ways to add data series to a chart -- choose your favorite method if my use of the Select Data dialog is confusing). Step 3 is just formatting, and you seem to already be familiar with how to format data series. Which step is causing your trouble? Are you having trouble moving the data, or adding data series to the chart?
