    Display percent of rank (donut chart) based on category and sub-category

    Hi All,
    I have master table where all employee are ranking to different physical fitness (like Exercise, Diet, Running etc.). with rank=1 as very low and 5 as very high.

    My requirement is that I need to calculate percentage of rank based on category and sub-category. As the data are not present is proper order, I am not able to proceed it. How can I do it. can you please help me.

    The category and sub-category will be assigned like below

    Variable Category subcategory
    Exercise Fitness1 Fit1
    Diet Fitness1 Fit1
    Running Fitness1 Fit2
    jogging Fitness2 fit1
    playing Fitness2 fit4
    swimming Fitness3 fit1
    riding Fitness3 fit1
    dancing Fitness3 fit1
    sleeping Fitness3 Fit5

    If you can utilize Power Query (a free add-in from Microsoft for the 2010 version of Excel) then you could put the data in proper order using the following advanced editor code:

    After producing the Power Query table, convert the category/subcategory range into a table and load both into Power Pivot data model.
    Connect the two tables using the Variable field.
    As modeled in the attached file, produce a pivot table using the Category from the category/subcategory table and Rank from the Power Query table.
    The doughnut chart is then produced from the filtered (by category) pivot table.
