    Events in Pivot Calendar

    Good day

I am completely new with the pivot function. Busy making a calendar and managed to get near where I want to be. I am missing the most important part which is the need to reflect "events". I have tried searching everywhere but may I just don't know which phrase to use. I attach a file below as example.

The sample won't upload. Will try a way to share.

    Thank you.

    Re: Events in Pivot Calendar

Just follow the instructions in the yellow banner at the top of the screen. Here are some in a bit more detail:

It would help if you attached a sample Excel workbook.

To do this, click on Go Advanced (below the Edit Window) while you are composing a reply, then scroll down to and click on Manage Attachments and the Upload window will open. Click on Browse and navigate to (and double-click) the file icon that you want to attach, then click on Upload and then on Close this Window to return to the Edit window. When you have finished composing your post, click on Submit Post.

Don't forget to click on the Upload button.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete

    Re: Events in Pivot Calendar

It is only a SAMPLE of data that we need, not 4000 rows of it !!

You seem to be using a different calendar than what I'm used to. I don't recognise your month names, and your months only seem to have 29 or 30 days in them. There are no actual dates in your file, but Excel will need these if it is to put the events onto a calendar sheet.

There is a link in post #5 of this thread:

    https://www.excelforum.com/excel-gen...-calendar.html

to a Leave calendar of mine from a few years ago - see if that is the kind of thing you are after.

    Hope this helps.

Okay, I just gave you that link as it was fairly recent (and I could remember it). Hopefully it will give you some idea what can be achieved using just formulae.

When you post back please indicate what you would like to be displayed on the calendar, and how many simultaneous events that you think might occur on any one day.

    Re: Events in Pivot Calendar

This is what I managed so far. Top left one can change the year and month. I have feast days like Passover and Unleavened Bread which I need to show on the day. If you can show me how to add info and extra lines I will appreciate it.

    5x events per day.

Hope I explained myself well enough.

    Thank you

    Re: Events in Pivot Calendar

Whenever I try to change anything in the PT I get a message to say that it was created in a later version of Excel and that I am not allowed to.

Sorry, I can't help you with this.
