    Keeping Pivot Table open

    Hello,

I have about 20 pivots that are used every week and the data behind them is changed every week.

Does it make a difference if I make tie pivot A$1:R$186 (where the data ends) (number of entries changes every week)

Or keep it open like A$:R$?

Will there be any difference ?

Why not use Excel Tables as data source?
Easy to setup, no worries when the data source gets bigger

Can you explain further as to how that is relevant?

I just wanted to know whether I can keep it open by just selecting the columns or does it affect the dataset?

    Re: Keeping Pivot Table open

I mean selecting the entire columns like Sheet1!$B:$D, and not restricting to cells Sheet1!$B$1:$D$157

    Re: Keeping Pivot Table open

What would you need to do that for? To create the data source? Again, if you select B1D157 as data source and follow the explanations on how-to create an excel table, XL does the job for you when you add / delete rows from your data source.
Have you read the content of the link?
See the paragraph "use a table as data source" in the following link https://www.howtoexcel.org/pivot-tab...ps-and-tricks/
