Updating Pivot Table - New Columns Added to Source Data Table

    Hello,

I have an existing pivot table, I've added 3 new columns to the source table, when I refresh the pivot table data the 3 new columns do not show up. How do I make the added source table columns show up in my existing pivot table? I'm trying to prevent creating brand new pivot tables to capture the newly added columns.

In the attached example I added columns year, month & day to the source table.

    Thanks,
    Daren

You have to remember to change the data source.
Select the Pivot Table, go to Pivot Table Analyze and select Change the Data Source.

A PT refresh will not do that automatically.

You should always create a dynamic range name for the PT so that the range name automatially expnads or contracts as the data gets more rows or columns. Use the dynamic range name as the source for the PT, not a hard codes range.
