Sort pie chart slices

This is basic but I can't figure out how to do it
How do I format the slices on my pie chart so that the smaller slices come first? Like ascending order of slices without changing my original data

Well, you can't. The slice order depends on the order of the data. That cannot be argued away. You may want to create a copy of the source data, sort it, then build the chart off that.

Then again, keep in mind that a pie chart with more than three slices is not good data visualisation, anyway. Do a horizontal bar chart instead.

Here is another suggestion. If you create your pie chart off a pivot table then you can sort the column in the pivot table that contains the numeric data being used in the pie chart and that will automatically redraw the chart with slices rearranged uniformly from smallest to biggest.
