Trend Line Legend Alignment - Leading Spaces

I have multiple Charts that have a trend line. I have labeled it Trend. The issue I am having is all the other legends are close to each other but for some reason the trend label marked "Trend" appears to have leading spaces that I do not want. I have a picture below where I have highlighted the "Trend" label which is causing extra distance from the prior legend. I need the space so I can keep the legend on one line. I have manually labeled the legend as "Trend" and also tried having the label reference to a cell with the word "Trend" in it. No difference. Any ideas?

Trying to figure this out would require me to recreate the chart, meaning recreate the workbook and data needed to make the chart. I'm not willing to do so. Maybe others would.

However, this is an outstanding example of when one should attach a workbook rather than just a partial screen shot. Obviously remove any personal or proprietary info, so use a copy of your actual workbook, but include just enough maybe fake data to reproduce the problem. In this case, since it's a charting problem, convert all formulas to values in the chart ranges, and clear everything else not used in this chart. Making it easier for the rest of us to diagnose the problem is very likely to produce a quicker answer.

Re: Trend Line Legend Alignment - Leading Spaces

    Hi hringrv,

I tired to create an example I could share but the leading space problem only seems to appear on my actual chart, not the sample. But I did discover when you use the "add trendline" feature to a chart the legend always tells you the type of trend i.e. "Linear" as shown in the original picture I showed. I found that if I use the =TREND() function I have better control of the the legend for the trend line. So I have implemented that change and the problem is resolved with a workaround. It still does not explain my issue when using "add trendline" but I have what I need to I am good to go. Should I change the status of this question to Solved?
