    Graphing Highly Skewed Data

I am sort of fishing on this post.

I have a number of departments that I report out numbers to on a monthly basis, and I would like to add a chart to accompany the table of numbers. This issue is, some categories have very large numbers, such as Rent which is in the millions and subscriptions which can have numbers < $1,000. Even plotting the % variance to plan can be difficult, as there can be wild swings.

I have read up a bit on normalizing data, but not exactly sure what the best way to go about normailizing and graphing.

I have attached a sample file with actual number for reference, I'd appreaciate any suggestions or pointers you want to give.

    Thanks
