    Dashboard from data

    Hello,

I have some data which is the sales of vehicles.
It shows the date, the make the number sold and the sum.

I'd like to have a dashboard so that people can see for any month, perhaps with slicer
    top 10 makes sold
    total sum per month.

Cannot paste file but have picture.

    Many thank yous

    Hi,

You should be able to paste a sample file atlease. Responders might not have time to replicate such files.

Anyways, you can try a Pivot table along with certain slicers.
    Cheers!

    Hello
Thank you. I've added the file.

I'm really looking to be able to able to do two things.
    Choose a monht/year and then
    1) see that there were so many of each model sold and the total sum
    2) be able to see the top 10 models sold with the largest values at the top.

I have tried a pivot with slicer, but have become seized.

    Hi,

    Maybe something like this.

I have used 2 pivot tables. On the 2nd Pivot table there is a options on the filter where you can select Top (10)

    Hello
    Thank you for reply.

I do want the top 10 but need to be able to filter based on month. So, click Jan and see Jan's top 10 etc.
    Is that possible?

    Re: Dashboard from data

If I understand correctly then I believe that the following does what you want.
    1. Construct a pivot table in Tabular layout as modeled on Sheet2
    2. Apply a sort by descending Sum of Sold to the Make column
    3. Apply a Values Filter > Top 10 to the Make column
    4. Produce a Slicer of dates.
Note that there are only 8 Makes in January and February so the filter will only be apparent when March is chosen.
