Need two slicers to act independently from same Table

Apologies if this has been covered before, but could not find anything.

Attached has simple database of three Criteria (Team, Hours, Score) from which there are two Pivots (one for Hours and one for Score).

If I 'reset' either Slicer, it resets both.

Is it possible to have each SLICER connection set independently, so HOURS AND SCORES filters both Tables, but SCORES filters only the SCORES Table?

Any solutions, alternatives or suggestions welcome as ever.

Right click slicer and use Report Connections, uncheck PivotTable1

    Andy,

Nope. If you set HOURS AND SCORES to connect to both Tables, SCORES connects to both Tables.
If you "uncheck" Table 1 on either Slicer, they both change in Tandem.
Unchecking the HOURS Table in either Slicer means the SCORES Table filters, whichever Slicer you try, but neither of them filter the HOURS Table.

Ochimus, no, I am not sure you can do that with Pivot Slicers; to satisfy HOURS AND SCORES you need the 2 Pivots running off a shared cache whereas for SCORES to be independent you require discrete Pivot caches -- so the requirements conflict.

It wouldn't really make sense for that to work since you'd want one slicer to only reflect the filtering of the second table some of the time. I think you'd have to have two separate slicers and then use code so that filtering the first pivot table then also filters the second, but not vice versa.

Create a new table for Team.

Add 2 table to the Data model and create a relation ship

Create 2 team slicers from Tabel1 and the new table, so that 2 team slicers are independent.

My bad, looks like I missed the fact the 2 slicers would reflect the others settings.
