Shifting a marker in a Custom Combination Chart

I created a custom combination chart with two clustered columns and a line with markers. All on the primary axis. I only display the markers, not the line for the third data set. Marker for march doesn't exist, but does for month of April and will going forward. The marker represents a portion of the left column, but has no relationship with the right column.

How can I shift the marker to overlap the left column rather than overlap both columns?

I've attached a pdf with an image.

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook. We can't do anything with a picture of it.

Re: Shifting a marker in a Custom Combination Chart

If I understand what you need to do, I expect that either technique described in this "combined clustered columns with clustered lines" will work. Note that he describes one technique using a column + xy scatter chart, and another technique using a "sparse" data range.
