What do you want it to look like? Are you trying to plot Jan 20 against Jan 21 and so on?

I guess so yes - basically compare 2020 against 2021 (year to date) .
So it would be good to see jan vs jan and feb vs feb and so on..
Assuming I understand what you want, and that you would be allowed to add a helper column to this, I would add a column that computes "days since the first of the year" or "fraction of year elapsed", then use that column for the x values in a line or scatter chart.
Days since first of the year: =A2-DATE(YEAR(A2),1,1) would work with either scatter or line chart type.
fraction of year elapsed: =YEARFRAC(DATE(YEAR(A2),1,1),A2,1) probably only works with scatter chart type.
