Ideas to create or import a Java based chart in Excel?

I have been requested to implement the following chart in excel.
    https://echarts.apache.org/examples/...rt-type-sankey

At this point I am able to create formated Java strings that can be pasted in to the websites textbox, allowing the user to manually download the required image.
Now I need to automate the process such that either the chart lives in excel, or that downloading the image is automated. I don't know where to start on this, (hence no code as yet) so your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My understanding is that this chart library (eCharts) is easily implemented in html for building websites (something I've never done).

I thought to try getting an activeX webBrowser control, but those are disabled in Office365.

My other ideas are to either try to webscrape the example page, or to try making my own page, pass data to it and webscrape that.

If anyone has ideas to actually create the required chart in excel, or can suggest tutorials to get it started, that would also be awesome.

    Many thanks,
    truk2

From what I can gather, Sankey diagrams are difficult in Excel. I found a few tutorials with different techniques. Some actually created the chart in powerbi or other 3rd party addin.

I don't have specific recommendations. Put something like Sankey diagrams Excel into your favorite search engine and study the tutorials that come up. Decide which approach you want to use. If you have trouble with implementation, come back here and explain what you are trying to do and we'll do our best to help.

    Perhaps I wasn't clear.
I'm not asking how to make a Sankey generally. I'm asking how to import a chart from this source specifically.

IE how do I take an ECHARTS chart, and implement it in excel?
