How to sum up value of pivot table rows

Hi all, I have a pivot table that is analyzing the data of service calls to serial number of units, grouped by type of service call and age of unit. I would like to display the following information for each serial number: Total service calls, total tier 2 calls and total tier 3 calls in every 12 month service period. The farthest I can get is to display the number of each individual kind of service call per 12 month period for each serial number, but I can't figure out how to sub divide/group the kinds of service calls. I have attached images of what my pivot table looks like now and the pivot table fields below.

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Fast answers need visual help. Please read the yellow banner at the top of this page on how to attach a file.

Not sure it is what you are looking for, I just changed the design of the PT to Tabular Form ?
BTW your profile shows Win 10 as XL version. Please change this to your current XL version, not Win version. Thanks

Re: How to sum up value of pivot table rows

I have updated my xl version, thanks for letting me know. I looked back on the table and I misrepresented how my real table looks. My data has multiple kinds of tier 2 and tier 3 calls and I would like to group them into tier 2 total, tier 3 total, and other total. I have updated the spreadsheet to better represent the data and have attached it. Here is an image of what the example spreadsheet looks like now and how I would like to make it.

Do you think this is possible to do?

I think the easiest way is to add a column, and creating a PT from there ( see attached)

Re: How to sum up value of pivot table rows

I agree wit the above and the screenshots do not match with the sample file the alternative is
    =SUMIF($G$3:$G$20,"*"&"tier 3"&"*",H3:H20) for tier 3

what becomes more difficult is that for other you have different alignment of sub totals and totals

(Total - 3*(tier 2+tier 3 ) )/3 gives the answer for other where total is all the values in the sample pivot

It would also be better if the sample actually matched reality in what you wanted to achieve
