Pivot table showing 0 instead of -

I've looked through the forum and can't find an answer to this. In options, I've set it to Calculate as Displayed and my formatting in the pivot table for the Amount column is Accounting with $, but it is showing some 0 (zeroes) as $0.00 or ($0.00) and some as $ - (which is what I want). I don't understand the difference.

Those values are not dead zero. Select F10 and look at the formula bar. You may need to do some rounding in the underlying data table.

    You are welcome
Your source table has a custom format as shown in post #3
PivotTable takeover this format so you need to change it manually from the ribbon

Thanks for the feedback and mark thread solved

I have a similar issue. Would anyone be able to help? it seems that it is summing up to 0 but excel pivot takes it as a really small number.
