Showing a shadow of the previous curve on a chart when values change

    Hi, new here.

I have a chart that pulls its data from some various fields. So, when the fields change, so does the chart. However, I was wondering if there was a way to show a sort of shadow of what the old chart looked like so that you can see the difference the change in inputs made. I see that their could be limitations if the chart recognizes changed input fields one by one rather than a whole. Anyway, if anyone had some insight on this it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

It might depend on the type of chart you have from a purely visibilty pov.

However one way would be to plot two series to reflect the original and new data.

You would need a macro that reacted to a change to the current data so that the first thing the macro did is copy the current data to the old data. As I say depending on the data you might want to offset the old data along the x and maybe y axes by some fixed amount.

Upload the workbook if you need more specific help.
