Pivot Table for Text and Numerical Data from same column

Hi all,

Not sure if the Title is clear enough.

Have attached table which gives Manpower utilization against WBS codes.

The Hours and WBS are entered in the same column for the day.

I need to workout a pivot table which gives me the data as shown in the yellow highlighted table on the RHS.

Are you still using Excel 2003? If not, then please update your forum profile.

I feel that to produce a pivot table the data in columns A:U would need to be converted to a data set containing daily records per employee as opposed to the matrix style data set displayed.
That said I feel that the total hours could be calculated using the following array entered formulas**:
For company employees: =SUM(IFERROR((G$6:U$14=X5)*(E$5:E$13="Company")*(G$4:U$4>=Y$3)*(G$4:U$4<=AA$3)*(G$5:U$13)*(C$5:C$13),0))
For hired employees: =SUM(IFERROR((G$6:U$14=X5)*(E$5:E$13="Hired")*(G$4:U$4>=Y$3)*(G$4:U$4<=AA$3)*(G$5:U$13)*(C$5:C$13),0))
**Array formulas are not entered in the same way as 'standard' formulas. Instead of pressing just ENTER, you first hold down CTRL and SHIFT, and only then press ENTER. If you've done it correctly, you'll notice Excel puts curly brackets {} around the formula (though do not attempt to manually insert these yourself).
I don't believe that there is enough information given to calculate the cost.
