    Pivot table pasted into another document points to previous document

    Ok i'm STILL having issues with this template business. Nearly there, and I really appreciate all the support from you guys with all the wrinkles i've had.

    New wrinkle: I have two pivot tables in my template document. They point to a table called 'Membership'
    In the template, the pivot Data Source simply says =Membership

    When I paste this sheet with the pivots into a new excel file, the pivots are still pointing to the template. So, the Data Source changes to: =filepath/Template.xltx'!Membership

    I tried creating an INDIRECT formula pointing to the current document name which I keep in cell B2, and inserting this in the Table/Range field of the PivotTable Data Source.
    The pivot table doesn't like it. This was my failed syntax attempt: =INDIRECT("'" & $B$2 & '!Membership[#All])

    Is there any way I can force a pivot to look at the current document?

    @Pepe Le Mokko bonjour!

    I tried changing the pivot table data source to a connection, however when I paste into another excel file, the connection to the template remains.
    I need the pivot to only care about the sheet name, and the table name. Because, the sheet and table in the new file will be the same as in the template, but the file name will be different.

    I also tried putting something fancy in the Table/Range field of the pivot table which would ask it to look at the current file name when creating a connection, but it constantly says that the reference is not valid.
    Attached is a screenshot of my attempt, the file name is in cell B2, the sheet is called MEMBERSHIP and the table of data is called Membership
