Hey all,
I'm still confused on this, and swear I've done this before. However, all I have is two columns with non numerical data. One column a list of projects, the other the status of that project (Planned, Paused, Completed, etc.).
I do NOT want a pivot chart, however I can't get a pie or par graph to work.
Attached is a sample, any help is much appreciated.

Perhaps I have a weak imagination, I'm not sure of any way to show all text on a chart. These kinds of questions usually come down to how to get numbers from the text. Can you explain exactly what you want to show on the chart?
As a quick guess, you mentioned a pie chart, which made me wonder if the goal is to get a chart to show fraction of each status of the total (2/6 or 33% are paused and 4/6 or 67% are completed in the sample data). If so, you need to somehow in the spreadsheet count the number of each status, then use those numbers to build the desired chart.
