Combo chart: Prevent chart type of 1 series from changing

This is a repost of a question I asked back in 2019, which did not get a reply. Very very keen to know if a solution is out there hence reposting to see if someone has the answer.

I have created a pivot combo chart containing 4 series of data. I set one of these series (let's call it Series A) to a Marked Line chart type while the other series are Stacked Column type. However, if I filter the pivot data such that one of the series does not have data, therefore disappearing from the chart, the chart type for Series A will change to Stacked Column type.
How do I set up this pivot chart so that Series A is always Marked Line, regardless how many other data series are in the chart?

Re: Combo chart: Prevent chart type of 1 series from changing

So after 2 years, I finally decided to go learn macros and have now recorded a simple one to meet my needs.
I googled for instructions to create a simple macro and recorded my actions, which were to right-click on my chart component and change the chart type.
I also created a form button that I can click on to run the macro.

I have already set it as the first series. So if I go into combo Chart Type, that series is always at the top.
