Chart unselects data points whenever the file is closed.

Greetings all.

Been having this issue where my line chart basically unselects the data points whenever i close the file. In that sense, i need to keep on selecting the data points everytime i open the file. For more context, the series of my line chart pulls data from different cells where one series pulls from a set of rows while the other from a set of columns. This issue however doesnt affect my other charts. Is this kind of a bug or an error?

When you say that it unselects the data points, do you mean that the data that defined the series of the line chart no longer does so, when you close the file? Or do you mean that you have the data points selected, with the selection handles visible, and when you close the file, the selection handles don't appear when the file is re-opened?

If it's option 2, that's standard Excel functionality. If option one, please provide us some more details to be able to help you better.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have attached a screenshot of what i mean by the unselection. Hope this helps. Basically, it unchecks the data points but the same data points are not totally removed from the chart.
