Half Yearly plan Chart with horizontal-axis lables as H1-2021, H2-2021 ...

I need to create a half yearly plan chart and x axis lables should be H1-2021, H2-2021, H1-2022 and so on till H2-2023.
I have original data and then i converted to dat based on nnumbers but i am not able to get X axis as required.

May be data structure i am using is not appropriate.
Could someone help me with creating this chart? Thanks in advance.

It's not clear to me which axis you are referring to when you refer to the "x axis" -- horizontal or vertical.

The chart in your sample file is a bar chart, and one usually thinks of the vertical axis as the "x axis" when using a bar chart. Currently, you are using C24:C27 for the vertical axis labels. If you want B24:B29 along the vertical axis, go into the Select Data dialog and change the category axis labels from C24:C27 to B24:B2

In most other charts, the "x axis" refers to the horizontal axis. In a bar chart, the horizontal axis can only be a value axis -- it cannot show text labels. The usual strategy for putting text labels where Excel wants a value axis is to create the axis using a dummy series, then labeling the data points of this dummy series with the desired text. Technique is illustrated in the examples here: https://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/axes.html Assuming this is what you are trying to do, let us know if you have trouble with Peltier's tutorials.

    Hi,
    I would like to have horizontal axes lables as H1-2021, H2-2021 ... instead of 0 , 1, 2...

I checked it on the link you have shared but i did not find how to create dummy horizontal axes with dummy lables.

I'm surprised. The "Vertical Category Axis" tutorial is probably the first one to go through. He starts with an XY scatter chart, then uses a "dummy series" to add category labels to the vertical axis. He does very similar things in the "simulated probability chart" and the "reciprocal axis" charts.

In most of his examples, he is starting with a scatter chart (these dummy axes work best as scatter charts), so your chart will become a combination bar+scatter chart (bar for the main data, xy scatter for the dummy axis). Can I assume you are already familiar with creating combination charts?
