    New to charts - Advice on the best type for problem

    Hi, I have a data table "logsheet" that's populated from a userform.

    I have several pieces of data that I'd like to display using some graphs.

    I'd like to be able to change the graphs to update the display by having some sort of year/month picker and the graph will pick up the month or year from the data table.

    Am I better off building a table to collate the data and then turning this into graphs or should I take the data direct from the "logsheet" table into a graph?

    I have multiple sets of data I'd like to display but they do not have to be on the same graph, the plan is to have 3/4 graphs on one page. I have attached a sample workbook with the type of information I'm after in blue.

    I'm learning so any advice on the bast way to achieve my result would be appreciated. I'm not expecting anyone to do it for me as I'd like to give it a try myself but don't know how best to achieve my result.

    It's not clear to me what you are trying to do. What I gather from your description is you want to somehow pick month/year and get results based on that. Considering the database like arrangement in "logs", I am guessing that you want some kind of filter and/or pivot operation. I'd probably start by looking at those two concepts, see which one best applies (or if neither applies), then work on implementing on or the other (or neither).

    Autofilter tutorial: https://www.wikihow.com/Use-AutoFilter-in-MS-Excel
    pivot table tutorial: https://www.wikihow.com/Use-AutoFilter-in-MS-Excel
    FILTER() function helpfile: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...c-4877ad80c759

    If none of that helps, perhaps explain again what you are trying to do here.
