Multiple x-axis data in Stacked Columns

This is my first post. Please feel free to correct or give advice on how to improve my question.

    I am using Excel365, version 2204

I would like to create a "Stacked Column" Chart with 2 horizontal data sets:

1: "Base" and "Above Base" data from January, February and March 2021, and
    2. "Base" and "Above Base" data from January, Februay and March 2022

The result should be 6 columns => 3 colums that contains "Base" and "Above Base" from January (column 1), February (Column 3), March (Column 5) from 2021, stacked,
and 3 columns, that contains "Base" and Above Base from January (Column 2), February (column 4), March (Column 6) from 2022, also stacked.

I tried to create this, but failed. I get only 3 columns : January (2021+2022), February (2021+2022) and March (2021+2022), stacked

Please could you help me how to create this (if it is possible)

    Thx!

It is sometimes difficult to help when you don't share what you have tried. I find that many charting questions really end up being about arranging data in the spreadsheet. When you get the data arranged properly in the spreadsheet, creating the chart is easy. Assuming I understand what you want, I would expect:

    1) Date in the left most column, and adjacent columns with Base and Above Base:

    2) Select this block of cells and insert your stacked column chart.
    3) If Excel does something funny with the series definitions, pull up the Select Data dialog and fix Excel's mistakes.

I would expect you to end up with month/year across the horizontal category axis, and a stacked bar with two values above each month/year.

Is that what you are looking for?
