    Percentage done column

    Hi there all

I am not very good at pivot charts yet.. Therefore I ran into this problem..!

    The problem is as follows:

I have table 1, as shown below, Where I have different tasks, which I give an "1" for "done" and a "0" for "not done.

Now I want a pivot table and then a chart, to show how far I am, divided into column "A" and/ or "B" columns, so that I can see the status on how far I am on my tasks, for instance for "Ventilation".

So here I want the table to show how many percent I have, marked "done", for that "Theme".. At the moment, there is 1 task that is "done", and one that is "not done". Therefore the table should say 50% "done".

    Excel pivot problem.png

But when I make my Pivot table, with column "B", and make it either "sum" or "count" and then show as percentage, it does not show 50%.. ?

Can anyone please tell me how to do this..? HELP

    Re: Percentage done column

    Welcome to the excel forum.

HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK:

Fast answers need clear examples. Post a small Excel sheet (not a picture) showing realistic & representative sample data WITHOUT confidential information (10-20 rows, not thousands...) and some manually calculated results. For a new thread (1st post), scroll to Manage Attachments, otherwise scroll down to GO ADVANCED, click, and then scroll down to MANAGE ATTACHMENTS and click again. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

    Re: Percentage done column

I think it can be done, but don't have the solution at this moment.

If the problem is not solved by another forummember, I will take another look at it in the evening.

    Re: Percentage done column

See the example if it match your criteria.

    If so:

Value box => count => second tab (values show as) => % of rowtotal => basicfield (FAG).

    See the attached file.

    If not:

Please add manualy the expected result in an excel file.
